Last updated: 6 October 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to Dutch&Doen, operated by Pim de Vries, and to Dutch-language training and related services provided to individual clients and organisations.
1. Dutch&Doen
Dutch&Doen
KvK number: 42093905
Le Mairekade 77, 1013 CB Amsterdam
Owner: Pim de Vries

2. Services and agreement
Dutch&Doen provides individual Dutch courses, Staatsexamen NT2 preparation, work-related Dutch and company training. The specific course, number of lessons, format, location, price and schedule are agreed before the course starts. An agreement is formed when the client accepts the written offer or otherwise confirms the agreed service.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are communicated before the agreement is concluded. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, invoices are payable within the payment term stated on the invoice. For company training, the agreed quotation and payment terms apply.
4. Scheduling and cancellation of lessons
Lessons are scheduled by mutual agreement. If an individual client needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson, reasonable notice should be given. Unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing, cancellation less than 24 hours before the lesson or a no-show may be charged as a completed lesson. Dutch&Doen will make reasonable efforts to reschedule where this is practical.
For company training, cancellation and rescheduling arrangements are those stated in the quotation or agreement.
5. Consumer withdrawal rights
If you are a consumer and enter into an agreement with Dutch&Doen at a distance, for example online or by e-mail, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days. Where that right applies, Dutch&Doen will provide the legally required information and withdrawal instructions.
If you expressly request Dutch&Doen to start providing the service during the withdrawal period, you acknowledge that you may have to pay for the part of the service already provided if you subsequently withdraw, to the extent required by law. Any statutory exceptions or mandatory consumer rights remain applicable.
6. Cancellation after the withdrawal period
After any applicable statutory withdrawal period has ended, cancellation is governed by the specific course or service agreement. Dutch&Doen will apply cancellation charges reasonably and in accordance with the agreement and applicable consumer law.
7. Course materials and intellectual property
Course materials created or supplied by Dutch&Doen are intended for the client’s own learning purposes. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, materials may not be reproduced, resold, publicly distributed or commercially used without prior written permission.
8. Online lessons and technical issues
For online lessons, the client is responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and a reasonably quiet learning environment. If a technical problem prevents a lesson from taking place, Dutch&Doen will make reasonable efforts to reschedule it.
9. Confidentiality
Dutch&Doen treats information shared during lessons or in connection with an assignment as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary for the performance of the agreement.
10. Results and examinations
Dutch&Doen provides training and guidance but cannot guarantee a particular language-learning result or examination outcome. Examination dates, admission requirements and decisions by examination bodies remain the responsibility of the relevant examination organisation.
11. Liability
Dutch&Doen will provide its services with reasonable care. Liability is subject to mandatory applicable law and, where legally permitted, is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where limitation is not permitted by law.
12. Force majeure
Dutch&Doen is not liable for failure to perform an obligation where performance is prevented by circumstances beyond reasonable control, such as serious illness, outages, government measures or other force majeure events. The parties will seek a reasonable alternative where possible.
13. Complaints
Complaints are handled under the Complaints procedure.
14. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy statement.
15. Changes
Dutch&Doen may update these Terms & Conditions where necessary. The version applicable to a client is the version in force when the agreement is concluded, unless a change is required by law.
16. Applicable law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law. Mandatory consumer protection rules that apply in the country where a consumer lives remain unaffected.
